So what were you doing in the late 60’s early 70’s?  This wine dinner is a play on words.  It could mean Flour power or Flower power.  There will be no room for peaceful protests at Knapp, simply delicious dishes with vibrant colors, puffy pastries, lively scents, and you are encouraged to wear your best flower power ensemble.  The menu will include recipes using blue cornflower, quinoa flour, edible flowers and a tasty scaloppine dredged in flower sauted with a an aromatic wine sauce. This five course dinner will be paired beautifully with premium wines from Knapp Winery, Chateau LaFayette Reneau Wine Cellars, Zugibe Vineyards and Glenora Wine Cellars. $76.15 per person includes tax and gratuity.

1st Course- Flower Power Salad

Fresh local greens salad with edible flower petals from Remembrance Farms, hearts of palm,

Avocado, and a clover honey, Lime & peony vinaigrette.

2nd Course- Butternut Squash Soup

Butternut Squash soup spiked with tarragon and finished with stuffed squash blossoms finished with Stonybrook’s squash seed oil

3rd Course- Maque Choux

Cajun Corn and lima bean maque choux in fried tortilla with crème fraiche and fried flour tortilla flauta with Riegel farms Popcorn shoots, roasted pepper puree.

4th Course- Chicken Scallopini

Quinoa flour dredged chicken lightly sautéed and served over bucatini pasta with a rich chicken demi glace, capers, Limoncello, sautéed mushrooms and shaved asiago with micro arugula and kale

5th Course- Rose Ice Cream

Rose and orange peel ice cream in a shortbread cup with strawberry and candied orange gelee, finished with sweetened cream and orange peel powder
