Steve DiFracesco - Winemaker

Steve DiFrancesco has been the winemaker at Knapp since 2000. He has enjoyed 29 harvests in the Finger Lakes, and one harvest in Chile. He enjoys working with the high quality grapes grown at the Knapp Estate vineyards, especially the Riesling, Valvin Muscat, and Sangiovese. He is also happy to work with other varieties such as Seyval Blanc, Niagara, and Concord.

Rich Iddings - Cellar Master

Rich Iddings has been employed with Knapp Winery since April 1994. He started as a vineyard worker, pulling brush and tying vines. He was then asked to work in the winery with Lori Knapp, daughter of Doug Knapp. Lori trained Rich to do all of the cellar duties including running the Alembic still, production, bottling, filtering and pressing of the grapes. Rich was then promoted to his current position of Cellar Master in 2001.

Rich is a 1978 graduate of Newark High School, and currently resides in Seneca Falls, NY with his wife of 6 years. In Rich's spare time he enjoys NASCAR, crossword puzzles and Sudoku, and caring for his newly purchase home.
