Once a month Knapp Vineyard Restaurant hosts an evening wine dinner complete with sparkling reception and a five course dinner.  Gene Pierce famously sabers the tops of Glenora Wine Cellars sparkling wine in the Knapp Barrel Room and serves it to our guests in frosted champagne glasses.  Our Executive Chef, John McNabb prepares a gourmet meal sourcing most of his ingredients from local farms which includes our very own estate grown vegetables in season. The menu for each month can take us from one end of the world to another or simply be fun and scrumptious.  The portions are generous and each course is served with a white and a red wine.  The wines served include Knapp premium wines, Glenora Wine Cellar Wines and vinifera wines from our friends at Zugibe Vineyards on the east side of Seneca Lake.  It is a Finger Lakes experience not to miss.

Power of the Sea Wine Dinner 2019

Steamed, poached, grilled, baked and broiled, seafood seasoned with olive oil, lemon, basil, thyme, garlic, onion, tomatoes and accompanied by fresh local or recently harvested vegetables and greens is the theme of this delectable night.  Just reading about this brings the aromatic goodness to your senses.  In Chef John’s signature way of creating memorable wine dinners, his culinary prowess will ignite your sense of taste and guide you through the deliciousness of the sea.  This five-course dinner will be paired beautifully with premium wines from Knapp Winery, Chateau LaFayette Reneau Wine Cellars, Zugibe Vineyards, and Glenora Wine Cellars.  Please reserve your seats by buying your tickets online $82.50 per person, includes tax and gratuity.

There is no better time to dine in the Finger Lakes.  A plethora of fresh vegetables, meats, and dairy are used during this incredibly fresh and bountiful harvest time. Our fresh ingredients are grown and produced locally and delivered to us, in some cases, the very same day. 1st- Beet & Chevre Tower

Braised beets and herbed Chevre mousse in alternating layers with pumpkin seed oil vinaigrette dressed arugula and balsamic vinaigrette

2nd- Acorn and Butternut Squash Bisque

Roasted acorn and butternut squash, local apple cider, spiked with warm spices and tarragon. Finished with a spiced crème fraiche and roasted apple chutney.

Chateau Lafayette Reneau Seyval Chardonnay  Knapp 2017 Pinot Noir

 

3rd- Duck Arancini

Ground duck breast and gorgonzola with Herbes De Provence and warm spices in a Parmesan risotto sphere deep-fried in Japanese breadcrumbs in a poblano hoisin sauce.

4th- Stuffed Pork Loin

Butterflied pork loin stuffed with brioche, blue cheese, cranberry and apple stuffing over wild rice, quinoa, and kale pilaf, with balsamic and cranberry aigre doux and roasted Brussel sprouts.

5th Course- Pumpkin mousse & apple spice cake trifle

Chai and pumpkin mousse between layers of apple spice cake, and stewed apple chutney with a star anise sabayon sauce.

Jazz Wine Dinner- 2019

This dinner is paired with wine and music.  Each course will feature a music inspired entre from songs like- “I Left My Heart in San Francisco” featuring sourdough bread or “Cry Me a River” might include a salmon dish and “Georgia on My Mind” will dictate a peachy entree.  “Taste of Honey” will conclude with a dessert surprise. Whatever the song, the inspiration will be a delicious food and sound experience.  Live music is included at this wine dinner.  This five-course dinner will be paired beautifully with premium wines from Knapp Winery, Chateau LaFayette Reneau Wine Cellars, Zugibe Vineyards, and Glenora Wine Cellars $78.25 includes tax and gratuity.  All Wrapped Up- It’s December and presents, lots of presents come to mind! Imagine your dinner full of presents! All dishes will be wrapped up in the likes of puff pastry, filo, bacon, en papillote.  Expect an aromatic and dazzling display of distinctive foods –all wrapped up.
