The list of comfort foods from around the world is more familiar then you think.  Comfort food is a fundamental human need.  As we compiled ideas for this dinner our chef came up with foods from around the world that conjure up great memories and offer comfort in those thoughts. For instance, Poutine from Canada, everyone in Canada knows poutine.  Pierogies are Polish our Executive Chef John McNabb was raised making pierogies that remind Poles of family gatherings and remindful of childhood flavors. From Spain come tortillas and, Chilaquiles from Mexico.  This dinner is for those that love classic comfort food.  This is a five-course meal paired with premium wines from Knapp Winery, Zugibe Vineyards, Glenora Wine Cellars and other local Finger Lakes wine. Please purchase your tickets online to reserve your spot $79.95, includes tax and gratuity. Also included is a sparkling wine reception before the meal!


1st- Mexico- Chilaquiles

Lightly fried corn tortillas topped with tomatillo salsa, re-fried beans, mole pulled chicken, queso fresco, pico de gallo and a fried egg. Finished with crema, cilantro and a grilled lime.


2nd- Japan- Miso Soup

Dashi broth spiked with ginger and miso, tofu, scallion onions, and shiitake mushrooms and soba noodle.


3rd- Poland- Pierogi

Classic Pierogi filled with farmer’s cheese and potato, pan-seared in butter and served over Kapusta z Grochem.


4th Course- Greece- Moussaka

Layered baked casserole of potato, eggplant, tomato, lamb, beef, goat’s cheese with warm spices and topped with béchamel sauce and baked. Served with a chilled cucumber, tomato, parsley, and mint salad.


5th course- Austria- Sachertorte

Light chocolate sponge cake with alternating layers of apricot preserve and coated with rich german chocolate ganache. Finished with edible gold dust, chocolate filigree, and sweetened whipped cream.
