Finger Lakes Chardonnay, 2021
Despite 2021 being a difficult vintage for winemakers, our estate Chardonnay was a shining light. It took the gray, rainy days with aplomb and delivered perfect, ripe berries packed with flavor. The wine is imbued with peach, orange blossom, and petrichor (the earthy scent from the ground after a rain) on the nose. On the palate, a crisp, refreshing minerality gives way to notes of citrus, pineapple, and preserved lemon. Perfectly balanced with lively acidity, this is an excellent food wine. It will also age beautifully in the coming years.

Winemaker Notes
Fermented in stainless steel for bright freshness and concrete egg for creamy mouthfeel. Partial malolactic fermentation to temper the high acidity of 2021 without compromising balance.
Food Pairing Notes
Drink with shellfish, chicken roasted with lemons and thyme, or white fish pan seared with butter and sage.
