WINE RELEASES
Enjoy wine tastings, wines by the glass, and take a bottle (or two…) home for the summer. We’re extremely proud of Executive Winemaker Vanessa Hoffman for these two new beautiful vintages.
2022 Barrel-Fermented Riesling
Hoffman transferred her favorite Riesling juice to barrel for fermentation. For 8 months after fermentation, barrels were stirred twice per week. This varietal is more textural than our other Rieslings–round, complex, with a very dry finish. Will age well over the next 5-10 years.
2022 Siegerrebe natural orange wine
With just a few cases produced, this is a very special release.
Harvested by hand, foot stomped, fermented with native yeast as whole clusters, hand-pressed–this Siegerrebe is a labor of love and an ode to antique winemaking.
The skins were left on for just over a week, a key characteristic of what makes orange wine (not the orange flavor contrary to popular belief). The final product is unfined and unfiltered with beautiful aromas of orange peel, orange blossom, baking spice, and lychee. Its beautiful orange color is derived from the skin contact. With lots of phenolic character, this wine is still very approachable.
