“Freight is a 5 piece, original Alt Country / Rural Rock / Roots band based out of Ithaca, NY. The band is comprised of veteran musicians who individually have shared stages with the likes of John Prine, The Mavericks, Leon Russell, James McMurtry and many other roots music heavyweights. Founded by midwest transplant JP Payton in early 2020, Freight has risen to the fore of the region's growing Americana landscape. Drawing comparisons to the art rock of Wilco, the psychedelia of The Grateful Dead and the songcraft of Jason Isbell, Freight is both traditionally familiar and sonically adventurous. Freight's debut album, Hard Worker, released in October 2022 on Switchyard Records, has been met with critical acclaim. Their sophomore release Old Bones is garnering rave reviews.”
Joe Biz
“Joe Biz is an singer/songwriter and acoustic guitar instrumentalist performing a wide range of music from classical to classic rock and has created arrangements for songs spanning over four decades from over 100 pop artists that he performs live. Throughout his career, Joe Biz has shared the stage with numerous world-renowned recording artists including: The Guess Who, The Fixx and (Jefferson)Starship. Now in his retirement years, Joe Biz had found his niche performing (almost exclusively) at wineries throughout the Finger Lakes Region in Upstate New York.”
Gary Prisby
Gary Prisby’s acoustic performances showcase a tasteful variety of Classic Rock, 90s/Alternative and Blues, as well as his original material. His love for the Blues remains the backbone and inspiration for his song writing. Gary is grateful for several local competition awards, among which were the BSWPA Blues Challenges, where he was selected twice to showcase his original music in the International Blues Challenge in Memphis.

The duo is a staple at local Upstate NY wineries, clubs, and markets, known for adding their own unique acoustic twist to classic songs.

“We are a unique, crowd-pleasing band.
Within a two-to-three hour performance you will hear a wide variety of vocal and instrumental music in the style of Surf Rock,Twang, Spy, TV/Movie Themes, and Originals. There is very little time between our songs (probably around 30 seconds). Our songs are usually no more than three minutes in length and there are never any extended jams.
In our 14 year career as a band, we have never been asked to turn down. We always play to the size of the room and to the crowd. Several establishments have rehired us year after year because of these very facts”

Liam Lawson
“Liam Lawson is a guitarist and music educator based in Ithaca, NY.
A seasoned songwriter, he works in the “story song” tradition of artists like Woody Guthrie and Gordon Lightfoot. Many of his tunes retell actual historical events. Other tunes express the spirit of the times with lyrics that are honest and hopeful.
As a guitarist, Liam is a fingerstylist in the tradition of Chet Atkins and Merle Travis. His style also borrows from jazzers like Joe Pass and Lenny Breau. Liam's live performances always include a few instrumental pieces - music for its own sake, showcasing his studied technique and deep knowledge of the fretboard.
Liam is also an amateur music historian and folklorist. One of his passions is arranging forgotten songs. His repertoire explores the diversity of traditional American music, including Shaker hymns, Appalachian fiddle tunes, and the Piedmont blues.
Liam lives near Ithaca, NY with his partner, Amy, and their son, Arlo.”

Based out of the Corning New York area, Mike has performed his brand of acoustic music at a variety of venues including: taverns, wineries, distilleries, cider houses, wine bars, bar & grill restaurants and lakeside bars. Concentrating on classic and current country/rock/pop hits as well as original material, Mike brings his own blend of vocals and musical interpretation to entertain the audience. Mike began his passion for music early in life studying classical guitar and later electric bass at the Eastman School of music. He brings his experience with him during his performances, providing every venue top-notch entertainment including an honest connection to the audience, both young and old.

CC Ryder is a Singer/Songwriter currently based in southern New York State. It's difficult to pinpoint a traditional genre name for C's original music. While she carries influence from the myriad performers that have permeated her ears through the years, C's writing can really only be described in one word: honest. As a singer/songwriter, Ryder never shies away baring her soul in the form of rhythm and melody. She does not write Blues songs. She does not write Folk songs. She does not write Alternative songs. She does not write Country songs. She does not write Rock songs. She simply writes CC Ryder songs.

Muhammad Seven is a blue collar Americana singer-songwriter hailing from Boston, MA and currently living in the Finger Lakes region of New York. The son of an Iranian immigrant father and French-Canadian mother, he and his music were born in the fallout of the '79 Islamic Revolution and the Regan/Bush era, and draw influences from '60s protest music, '70s rock and roll, '80s pop, '90s hip hop and 20th century folk.

Bob Rowe began his music career by playing to small audiences in area clubs, coffee houses, and concert halls in West Michigan and the Chicago area. Later on, he opened for major artists such as country music legend Ernest Tubb. Some of the places he performed in include: The University of Chicago, Governor’s State University, The Ann Arbor Road House, The Warf in Milwaukee, Holy Name Cathedral in Chicago, and St. Bartholomew’s in New York City.

In the vein of Rock ‘n’ Roll, Roots Rock, Blues, and Americana; the band has received comparisons to artists such as Tom Petty, The Black Keys, and Alabama Shakes, while bringing a renewed energy to their own bluesy, hook-filled, vintage influenced sound. “The sound transcends what we think of as a typical rock outfit”, says EarToTheGroundMusic.com. The bands sound revolves around the songwriting structure of River's songs; a singer-songwriter with a rock solid band. Although influenced by music from the fifties, sixties, and seventies, River avoids simply being a replication of the past and instead has set out to create an identity all his own.
